Christie Carter, NP
Clinical Nurse Practitioner
Christie is an experienced, board-certified nurse practitioner and a board-certified women and gender health nurse practitioner. She started her healthcare career in 2005 when she graduated with honors from St. Catherine University with a Bachelor of science degree in Nursing. She spent the following thirteen years at the University of Minnesota Hospital treating patients in the intensive care unit and on the pre-operative and postoperative unit with a daily operative census of 35-55 patients. Being a strong advocate for improving patient outcomes, Christie aspired to pursue her master's degree in 2016 and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a master's degree in nursing as a women and gender nurse practitioner in 2018. She began the first seven years of her nurse practitioner career working in reproductive endocrinology.
While enjoying working in that field of medicine, Christie had a personal experience with a routine surgery that had postoperative complications, which led to sepsis. Her own recovery from the hospitalization included a long list of medications, each one bringing its own list of side effects and unfortunately, making the road to recovery much longer. After being introduced to integrative medicine and the idea that the power of the human body is miraculous if given as little pharmaceutical intervention as possible, she began to recover faster. At that point, she realized her purpose in healthcare was to help others have the best quality of life through the field of integrative medicine. Joining the HyperCharge Health team, Christie is here to help improve your body to function at its best whether the goal be small or large. Her additional love for aesthetics combines clinical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver natural-looking results tailored to each client’s unique features and goals.
